MARA Interview

6:44 PM / Posted by afandi / comments (0)

Simply, comparing interview of MARA with JPA, it’s obvious that MARA interview is few times easier as MARA merely has an individual interview rather than JPA which takes time around half of an hour. The process is like this:

1. Enrolment at the ground floor
2. Queuing up for interview
3. Interview
4. Finish

Enrolment
a. Come 10 minutes earlier
b. Can mingle around with other candidates
c. Enroll when u r called
d. Listen to the announcement made

Queuing up for interview
a. Wait until your turn
b. Be tranquil and need not to be worry

Interview

a. Its an individual interview
b. Wear blazer to get extra marks.
c. The question I got:

  • Tell me about yourself
- Start with basmallah
- Don’t forget saying thank you: Thank you for sparing your time and it’s my honour to be here

  • Can you tell me about you co-curriculum attainment?
- Starting with ‘ My attainment in co-curriculum is really outstanding. Not only in sport I m active but in uniform unit and club I was too. My best achievement…’

  • Which university you choose?
- State the university and country
- Do research about it ( ranking, programes)

  • Mara usually send students to Russia, do you want to go Russia as the have the best techno in this area?
- I said: no
- Reason: To vary techno in Malaysia

  • Do you know that French also has the technology in this area which is also one of the best? Don’t you want go there?
- Actually, I don’t know anything about French regarded to this matter. But I did not response negatively.
- My answer: I really have good knowledge about French regarded this matter as when we say about this industry, USA, UK, Russia, Japan and Korea are leading other countries.
- But I’ll always stick with my decision to go UK
  • Can you explain us about this field?
- Do research
- Give them facts and statistic to convince them
- Point the latest issue about it. Emphasise it by saying ‘the latest issue about it is….’
- Don’t leave government policy as well

  • Why should we choose you rather than other candidate?
- Be proud with who you are
- Tell them the best of you if can related to education and the course that you apply for.
- To make it firm combine you personality with personality test and mention the test and the pioneer of the test.

  • Do you have anything to ask?
- Don’t decline but use this chance to response with a good question.
- Like for engineer as the about IR, doctor ask them tips to memorise all books

Finish
1. Try to shake hand
2. Say thank you

Educamp In UTP

UTP Pictures, Images and Photos
I was one of the fortunate men who was shortlisted for Petronas scholarship where I was offered for Geophysics course to study abroad. It’s my honour to drop some my experiences to be there.

Yearly, the venue is never changed where UTP, Universiti Teknologi Petronas will be the whereabouts like this year as well. Since my dwelling is far away from Perak, I made my mind to go there a day earlier in an 8 hours journey and once I stopped at the main gate of this university, I was mesmerised by the awesome landscape which seems to be like Putrajaya!
I was placed with the foundation students in UTP but some of students, first 200, who registered early; they were placed to other hostels out of the campus which are really stunning but only for boys.
The activities:
First day:
8.00 am Registration
10.00 am Official Launching Ceremony
Talks: About Petronas
Petronas Scholarship
UTP
12.30 noon Lunch
2.00 pm. Briefing about latest schedule
Briefing about Tests
Assessment one
6.00 pm Dinner
8.00 pm Maths and Science test
Personality test
11.00 pm Supper

Second day:
7.00 am Individual Interview
Grouping interview
12.00 noon Lunch
2.00 pm Tests
6.00 pm Depart home

Before the interview:
Ensure that all documents required are ready.
Read all the letters regarded to the scholarship from top to bottom. Don’t miss any words or sentences. You may leave simple thing which may affect your interview.

Sharing time:
First Assessment
Actually, this assessment is not calculated for interview mark. It’s just to know each other, just like ice breaking. The different was candidates were given a task to discuss. For me, this was the time to brush up my English before the real interview. You just have to response and endeavor to do something you feel nervous to do before. It works to reduce your nervousness. I did just by changing my accent and it worked. I really gained my self-esteem, especially when people were thinking that my English was better than theirs thought it’s not. Truly, majority of the candidates were fluent speaking in English.

Test in the first night:
ujian Pictures, Images and Photos
Although most of us cannot answer this test, it’s not complicated because this mathematics and science test was only about form 5 syllabus. But as we leave it nearly 5 months, all the memory had gone with time and the result was we cannot answer even easy questions.
The personality test was a test to verify for your personality. Basically, there is now right or wrong answer. But the matter here is you have to answer based on your personality and don’t you try to manipulate the outcome as in this test it contains a system to detect lies. Hence, beware!

Interview
The interview is related to the task given. Following to your group, you will be divided into a few panels which are made up of 4 to 5 members. The task given is about current issue. You will be placed at a table with your panel members where no discussion is allowed as you have to do your own preparation for the tasks about 45 minutes.
After that, you will be asked to go to waiting rooms with your members and the individual interview is started. The questions I that they pointed were:
1. Background
2. Co-curriculum achievement
3. Recommendation of the task, either I agree or disagree.
4. Anything to share with them.
Then others of you friends will be called one by one and the will face the same process that you do. When all have been interviewed personally, the grouping interview will be started. Mine was the interviewers asked us to come to a conclusion where everybody agrees with one recommendation. It took nearly 15 minutes.
If you cannot speak fluent try to give response by agreeing any members, backing up anybody’s point.

The test in the second day
IQ testbrain Pictures, Images and Photos – you can search yourself about this test. It takes months to master for this test.

English tests
This tests are really difficult. For the first one was to check our vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. The comprehension was the problem as once you read it, you just can imagine nothing because the language level is really high.
The second English test is Verbal Evaluation if I’m not mistaken. For a few questions you have to answer based on the text given. The answers are A. true B. Wrong C. cannot answer without further information.

Alhamdulillah, I did well for the interviews except for the tests which were really difficult. Try to prepare yourself and don’t forget to pray to ALLAH to make you way easier

PPMSI

11:02 PM / Posted by afandi / comments (2)

Lately, our media, from the newspaper to the internet, is getting hotter and hotter with a few topics, especially PPMSI. Worse of all, six years, this topic never sleeps soundly. I believe everybody from all walks of live have their own stand either to support PPMSI or not. Hence, I decided to do a simple research and I obtained these points. Moreover, people say that in interview, we will be tested for our current knowledge. Since this topic is a heavy topic, my friend advises me to write this article in Bahasa. Let’s take a look.
Alasan menyokong PPMSI:

3. Rasulallah bersabda "Tuntutlah ilmu hingga ke negeri China"China Map Pictures, Images and Photos.
- Adakah dapat orang Arab menuntut ilmu orang Cina tanpa mempelajari bahasa Cina, lisan dan tulisan, terlebih dahulu?

in an alliance Pictures, Images and Photos

On Rebound Pictures, Images and Photos
- tidak memahami bahasa perantaraan (bahasa Inggeris)
